Smile for the camera! First shot of the trip: one of those silly ones where you stick your arm out & take your own picture. Worked better than I expected. That's Oahu's famous North Shore surf breaking in the background. So we survived the brutal flight from Salt Lake to Honolulu. It's tough in those first class seats. I mean, there was nothing on our personal TVs but reruns for the whole second half of the flight! And then when we got in to the airport, the rental agency was short of economy-class cars. So we had to take a Mustang instead. A convertible. These exotic vacations are just full of unexpected snags! Terry is suffering from a cold, so she took some nyquil. She gets really zapped on that stuff! She sort of melted and sagged, and I had to explain to the front desk that no, I was not smuggling any illegal substances. She's just relaxed, that's all. I poured her into bed and watched the sunset. Nice effect! They should hold those more often. The next morning we decided to vacate our room & head to Laie and the Polynesian Cultural Center. The PCC holds lots of memories for me, because I spent the first 2 months of my mission studying Japanese right next door. Steve would relate, too. Anyway, I took along the camera. Terry insisted I run the thing. So you won't see much of me in the next frames, unless you look carefully. Then you'll notice that you are seeing what I see. A beautiful world, first-hand. Hope you enjoy the view as much as I did! Below is an index of the trip pictures so far. Like always, you can just click on the current picture to jump to the next one. Enjoy!
